Report reveals that the Blue Jays will have some serious problems in signing Juan Soto

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to make some big moves this off-season and it looks like New York Yankees Juan Soto is at the top of the list but they are far from the only team.
New York Yankees are currently about to kick off the World Series on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers with outfielder Juan Soto leading the charge even though he is set to become a free agent this winter.
Blue Jays will have some serious competition in terms of signing Juan Soto this off-season
The Yankees are definitely at the front of the line to sign Soto in the off-season but it looks like the Mets are not far behind either as both teams have deep pockets and after the 2024 post-season, they have both proved they are among the best teams in the MLB.
"It's reasonable to assume the line for Soto's services begins in New York," Anderson said. "Both the Yankees and Mets, two of the final three teams left standing, are expected to be competitive in the bidding. Each New York squad can offer Scrooge McDuck-style riches, as well as a chance to be part of a perennial contender in a massive market..." -Anderson
While both New York teams are at the top of the list, insider RJ Anderson believes that the Blue Jays are among 5 teams seen as "dark horses" that could end up landing Soto if he chooses not to stay in New York as all these teams have the financial capability to sign him.
"Otherwise? It's worth mentioning all the usual dark horses: the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and (San Diego Padres)." -Anderson
While the Blue Jays are not leaders in this race, there has been rumors that they are willing to make a massive offer that other teams possibly would not be interested in making which could push them towards the front.
