The Blue Jays went into 2024 with massive hopes as they were expected to be one of the top teams in the American League but things did not go as planned as they ended up being one of the worst finishing with a 74-88 record and more than 10 games out of a Wild Card spot.
Toronto struggled in 2024. The Blue Jays were expected to be one of the top teams in the American League, and yet they finished in last place in the American League East with a disappointing 74-88 record. -McAvoy
John Schneider seems to be returning for the 2025 season
The team seems to have made some major changes heading into the 2025 season regarding their staff as they have parted ways with many of their coaches and coordinators but manager John Schneider still seems to be the manager heading into next season.
"Not only did Atkins survive this brutal season, but John Schneider is also back as the team's manager," Rotman said. "This doesn't come as a major surprise considering all reporting suggested that no major changes will be made, but that doesn't mean that this is the right decision.
The team's disappointing season if far from all on Schneider but he has proved that he is unable to get the most out of his players since apart from Vladimir Guerrero, many all-stars on the Blue Jays had their worst career years this season.
Despite that, it looks like the Blue Jays will be moving forward with Schneider even though he will likely be on a very small leash in 2025.
