The amount Vladimir Guerrero Jr is seeking with his new contract extension has been announced

According to former MLB player Carlos Baerga, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is seeking a $500 million contract.
Baerga also said that a month and a half ago Vladdy Jr. rejected a $340 million offer from the #BlueJays.
This will be a tough decision for the Blue Jays to make because they clearly believe he is worth much less since their over came in $160 million under what he is seeking but it is clear that he will be able to get that in free agency next off-season.
The Blue Jays simply need to decide if they want to keep him in Toronto for his entire career and if they do then they simply need to pay the man what he is worth as he will no longer take a hometown discount.
On the other hand if they do not want to sign him for that much, they should trade him as quickly as possible since waiting for the trade deadline will only result in them getting a smaller return.
If the Blue Jays hold onto him and he ends up leaving next off-season, fans will never forgive the front office for letting him walk away while getting nothing in return.
Despite Guerrero still have an entire season under his current contract, the Blue Jays need to make some serious decisions and quickly if they don't want to end up losing him for nothing.
