The Toronto Blue Jays made an incredible announcement regarding pitcher Alek Manoah this morning regarding his rehab from Tommy John surgery.
Manoah has been recovering at a rapid pace from his season ending surgery last year and it looks like everything is going according to plan as he took another big leap in the process this morning.

The Blue Jays announced some phenomenal news this morning regarding pitcher Alek Manoah as his recovery process continues to progress well as he took the mound this morning for the first time since last June.

Manoah spoke to MLB insider Keegan Matheson after taking the mound this morning and stated that he is going through a whirlwind of emotions this morning after taking the mound and that he has not been this happy in a long time.
Alek Manoah, as happy as I've ever seen him, called today "amazing" and a "whirlwind of emotion".
He's been playing catch, but has been counting down the days until he saw a mound again.

This is incredible news for the Blue Jays as this means that Manoah is still on the right path to make a return to the field some time later on in the season if he continues to recover at this rate.
While Manoah will only be back for probably August, this is still a huge positive in his process as he pitched for the first time and did not seem to have any complications.
Fans cannot wait to see what he's got later on this season.
