Vladdy wins his second #SilverSlugger Award!
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. takes home his second career Silver Slugger Award.
Big congratulations to Vladdy Jr. on his second silver slugger! #PayThisMan #ExtendVladdy
This Silver Slugger award proves once again why the Blue Jays should make signing
Guerrero to a contract extension the top priority for the off-season but in unfortunately does not look like it is.
Guerrero is coming off an incredible 2024 season where he put up 30 homeruns to go along with 199 hits, 103 RBIs, a .323 batting average and .396 on base percentage which is exactly why the Blue Jays need to extend him.
Signing Guerrero to an extension quickly will also show free agents that the Blue Jays are looking to win which will attract higher end talent.
The Blue Jays silver Slugger winner has mentioned on multiple occasions that he wants to stay in Toronto so it is solely up to GM Ross Atkins at this point.
