Jays have some serious interest in these managers to replace Schneider
The Blue Jays have been struggling so far in the 2024 season and while the offense has been one of the main issues, their manager John Schneider is also partially to blame.
There has been a lot of speculation regarding the team firing Schneider since he has made multiple bad decisions this year alone and cannot seem to get this roster to perform.
If Toronto decides to fire Schneider their seems to be some interest in a few different options, which all could be great for the Jays.
The first option would be Buck Showalter who has 22 years of experience as a manager in the MLB and most recently helped the Mets in 2022 achieve their first 100 win season. Showalter has managed 2 different teams to 100 plus win season, something the Blue Jays have never been able to accomplish.

Terry Francona is also a great option as he is among the 15 winningest coaches in MLB history. Francona coached 19 seasons between Cleveland and Boston, only missing the post-season 8 times in that span. He also helped lead the Red Sox back to glory in 2004 as they broke the curse of the great Bambino.

Maddon is also a very solid option as he is a legendary coach in the MLB despite struggling in his last stint in the league with the Angels from 2020-2022.
Maddon led the Cubs to their first championship in 108 years which was the biggest drought in team sports history.
The final option would be Jays current assistant coach Matt Hague as he has been a crucial part of the organization over the last few season. He began with the Jays in A ball in 2020 as a hitting coach and has risen through the ranks up into the MLB in the past 4 years.
After being hired by the Jays' organization back in 2020 to be the hitting coach for their Single-A affiliate Dunedin Blue Jays, he has since moved rapidly up the system over the past three years. Subsequently, Hague was promoted to Double-A New Hampshire in 2021 and then to Triple-A Buffalo in 2023, all in the capacity as a hitting coach. - Eng
At this point any of these options would be a solid choice and it would shake things up for the Jays and bring some new life into the club house which is desperately needed right now.
