CJ Van Eyk, Toronto Blue Jays' #17 Prospect and right-handed pitcher, impressed with five scoreless innings for the Double-A Fisher Cats, allowing just one hit and striking out six batters.

Due to his strong performances this season, especially recently, he earned Player of the Week in the Double-A.

Last season, Van Eyk had the common Tommy John Surgery that plagues many young pitchers, it leads to the reason he has flown under the radar this season.
This season he has an ERA of 8.83 in 6 games and 17.1 innings pitched. Although not the best numbers, he is still finding his strike after his Tommy John and proved he can be a a competent pitcher if not elite.
