The Blue Jays have one of the worst offense's we have seen in the MLB in almost 56 years.
It was recently pointed out online that the Jays currently have the worst slugging percentage with runners in scoring position with .287 since the New York Mets in 1968 with a .275.
As pointed out by user «superpugs» on Reddit, the Blue Jays' .287 slugging percentage with runners in scoring position within the bases occupied is the lowest in the majors this season, and the worst mark of any team since 1968, when the California Angels had a .289 mark, and the New York Mets put up a measly .275.
This stat really puts into perspective how bad the Blue Jays offense has been this season and how not clutch they continue to be.
Fans have seen in multiple games this season where a Jays pitcher steps up and has incredible games but ends up with a loss at the end of the night due to an offense unable to drive in runs.
Time is running out for the Blue Jays and quickly, something needs to change in a major way if they plan on somehow making it to the playoffs.
