Formter Toronto Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons made an appearance on Sportsnet's Blaire & Barker show this morning to talk bout the state of the Blue Jays and who will give Shohei Ohtani a run for his money in MVP voting.

Now Serving as the bench coach for the New York Mets, he states that if anyone is as good or can compete talent wise close to Shohei Ohtani, it would be Francisco Lindor.
"Every year, Ohtani is going to be the front-runner for MVP, but (Francisco Lindor) is right there... He's got my vote."

Lindor is a superstar in how own right, no is denying that, but in reality he does not come close to the value Shohei Ohtani brings to the Dodgers, or any team for that matter. Lindor holds a slash line of 274/.343/.501 with an OPS of .844, 30 home runs, 84 RBI's and 26 stolen bases.
compared to Ohtani on the other hand, he has a chance to become the first ever player to join the 50/50 club as he dominates at every facet of the game... including pitching. After going down with an injury that sidelined him from pitching, Ohtani holds a slashpine of .290/.375/.613 and an OPS of .988. He currently has 44 home runs, 46 stolen bases and 99 RBI's. We love Lindor, but there is no comparing the two.
