Famous Blue Jays fan that runs social media account Blue Jays Dad announced heartbreaking news yesterday that his mother had passed away.
Blue Jays Dad posted a picture with his mother and stated that she is the reason he fell in love with baseball. Pitcher Chris Bassitt saw this post on X and told the fan that he should reach out and that Bassitt would take care of getting him tickets.

This interaction shows just how great of an individual Bassitt is since he did not have to do this but chose to make a beyond kind gesture to a big time fan in a time of need.
