The Blue Jays announced they have acquired a new pitcher from the Miami Marlins off of waivers.

Toronto has announced they have claimed RHP Brett de Geus from the Marlins and have DFA'd Yerri Rodriguez.

The news regarding Rodriguez comes as no surprise since he has been struggling ever since arriving in Toronto which is why they have decided to give de Geus a try as he currently has a 5.00 ERA.
