Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassit spoke to the media after yesterday's loss to the Brewers.
Bassitt spoke to reporters of how the Blue Jays starters have been struggling this season and need to be good consistently if they want to win more. The pitcher did add that he feels like the team's starters have been playing better lately.
#BlueJays starter Chris Bassitt:
«Our starters have got to be good. That's just the reality of our team. Our starters have to be good and I feel like we've done a lot better job over the last month of doing that.»
It is hard to argue with Bassitt's logic as the Blue Jays do need their starting pitchers to perform every night if they plan on making the playoffs but the other side of that is they need their offense to produce as well.
Multiple times this season, fans have seen Blue Jay pitcher have incredible games but the lack of offense led to them losing the game by 1 or 2 runs.
