The Blue Jays had a terrible game last night against the Orioles losing 7-2 at home, they look to bounce back tonight as they have will likely have Bowden Francis on the mound since they will be activating him off IL shortly.

Francis has been out for the past little while and will be taking Manoah's place in the pitching lineup, this will be his first game since injuring his forearm. The 28 year-old currently has a 8.59 ERA on the season through 14.2 innings pitched and 17 strikeouts.

Game Total: 8.5 | Starting Pitchers: Corbin Burnes (R) vs. Bowden Francis (R)

Toronto has not announced a starter yet, but word is that Bowden Francis will take the mound. Francis is expected to come off the IL here after sustaining a forearm injury and should be in line for 50-60 pitches. We could easily see this turn into a bullpen game as well. If Francis is the starter, this Orioles team probably takes him to the woodshed today, as his numbers are collectively not great outside of a 27% K% to righties (0.250 collective ISO / 0.405 wOBA / 48% hard contact). The Orioles deserve to be a top five offense as long as there's no opener in front of Francis (the implied total of 4.8 makes a lot of sense). Ryan Mountcastle profiles the best from the right side of the plate while Santander, Henderson, Rutschman, and O'Hearn all profile nicely as lefties.
If Francis ends up pulling out last minute, the Blue Jays will likely be sending Trevor Richards to the mound.
