Blue Jays rookie Will Wagner's season came to an end this week as he has a knee injury that will likely need surgery.
Wagner had a great end to the season with the Blue Jays and it looks like the team sees him as a big part of the roster next year.
«I think he's probably a little bit relieved that he's getting this taken care of now,» John Schneider said Wednesday. «It's also about him understanding from us and the organization how he's viewed, the way he played and what we're looking for from him heading into the offseason and next year. He's shown really well. He's a guy we're confident in, and rightfully so.»
The big question remains if he will be ready in time for opening day but it looks like the team is confident he will be and will be planning accordingly.
If Wagner continues to improve, he can definitely be one of the Blue Jays best players next season.
