In his second incredible start in a row, Toronto Blue Jays Starting Pitcher Chris Bassitt had to fight through neck pain and shoulder soreness, but still was able to get the win and give up 0 runs against the Chicago White Sox.

That is two starts in a row where he has yet to serve up a run, in both games going 7 strong innings.

With this win, Bassitt has pledged to donate $10,000 to the Jays Care Program for every home victory he secures this season.
«Seeing the kids in action last summer and the way in which they embraced sports and felt a sense of belonging and pride was truly inspiring,» Chris and Jessica Bassitt said in the release.

«We have always believed strongly in giving back and helping make a difference in the lives of others, and as we continue to grow our family in Toronto, helping kids through sport is the perfect connection. Jays Care does incredible work, and we are so honored to be part of it.»

This is exactly the type of stuff you want out of a leader! Bassitt now has a 4.03 ERA in 11 appearances and 60.1 innings pitched this season. Let's hope those 14 scoreless innings continue to next game!
