Texas Rangers' ace Max Scherzer is suggesting a solution to address the ongoing issue of inconsistent umpiring in the MLB after he was asked about the electronic strikes zone

Scherzer stands as one of baseball's most decorated pitchers, boasting three Cy Young awards. He has a career ERA of 3.15 and 3,367 strikeouts. He ranks 11th on the all-time leaderboard.
When asked about the electronic strike zone he said "For me, how I conceptualize how the electronic strike zone should be, is we need to rank the umpires, let the electronic strike zone rank the umpires." - Scherzer

It is an interesting idea that I can agree with where Max Scherzer is advocating for a bold approach to tackle the MLB's umpiring inconsistencies. He suggests the MLB should be relegating underperforming umpires to the minor leagues and bringing up the top umpires in the game. It would create a competitive environment among umpires, pushing them to maintain high standards and ensuring better officiating on the field.
An important aspect of baseball is the human element and with that, comes human error, it happens. It just stands on the fact that it is happening a little to often, that Umpires are not being held accountable for their performances.
