Seattle Mariners have fired manager Scott Servais after playoff fall out of a playoff spot

In surprising new out of Seattle, the Mariners have decided to fire manager Scott Servais after the team has fallen out of a playoff spot.

The Mariners are moving on from Scott Servais
They have not hired a replacement but former Mariners catcher, Dan Wilson will take over for the interim. Hitting coach and strategy director Jarrett DeHart was also fired at the same time.
"We believe that we need a new voice in the clubhouse," Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto said in a statement. "Dan knows our team and has been a key member of our organization working with players at every level over the past 11 years. He is well respected within and outside of our clubhouse and we are confident he will do a great job in leading our group over the final six weeks of the season and moving forward. I do want to thank Scott for all his efforts here in Seattle over the past nine seasons, He has poured his passion into the team and our community and I know I speak for the entire Mariners organization in thanking him for has hard work."

Ever since une 18th when they were in a avery good spot to make the post season, they have gone on a downword spiral. They were 13 games above .500 then, now they are 7.5 games out of the final wild-card spot in the AL.
