ESPN makes absurd prediction that can be a major Jinx for the San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres are currently playing in the MLB's Wildcard series against the Atlanta Braves where they are up 1-0 in a best of 3 series. For some reason, ESPN experts gave an absurdly early prediction about how they believe the Padres will beat the Dodgers in the NLDS.
81% of MLB experts polled at ESPN believe that the Padres will take down the Dodgers in the NLDS.
Side note: The Padres haven't even advanced out of the Wild Card yet...
It does not really make sense, the Padres are still fighting to get out of the first round of the playoffs and MLB "experts" at ESPN are already doing their best impersonation of Babe Ruth by calling their shot. It is shocking particularly due to the fact that Baseball is a sport of extreme superstition, and even talking or hinting at a perfect game or no-hitter is one of the biggest unwritten rules in the sport. This
could prediction could be up their in one of the wildest jinxes in recent memory.
Must read on Blue Jays Insider
It is not like the Atlanta Braves needed any more motivation to beat the San Diego Padres, but hearing a prediction like this that another team is just going to rill though you must be a major motivating factor.
