Today is a sad day to be a Chicago White Sox fan as the team has officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

Not to rub salt in the wounds but the 2024 White Sox have broke the record for being eliminated of playoff contention in wild-card or divisional era. The news broke when the team lost a 6-1 to the Houston Astros, their record now sits at 20-94...
As our Dayn Perry recently noted, these White Sox also have the opportunity (if one can describe it as such) to establish the worst winning percentage in modern history. Chicago enters Sunday having won 24.2% of its games; for reference, only the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics, who went 36-117, won a lower percentage.
For the Chicago White Sox fans, there is always next year.
