The New York Yankees trade for outfielder Cody Bellinger yesterday from the Chicago Cubs and it looks like they might already have issues within the clubhouse.
The Cubs have been looking to trade Bellinger since the beginning of the off-season when he decided to accept his players option for the 2025 season paying over $30 million.

The Yankees traded for outfielder Cody Bellinger yesterday in exchange for right handed reliever Cody Poteet wile The Cubs also sent money over with Bellinger to help pay his massive salary.
Fans were quick to point out after online after the trade that Bellinger's new teammate Giancarlo Stanton used to date his current wife and were together only one year prior to Bellinger marrying her.

Clearly both these players are professional athletes and could put their personnel lives aside for their team but at the same time it clearly will not be easy for Bellinger to play with his wife's ex.
It will be interesting to see if this situation ends up affect the Yankees on the field or if they will be able to keep their personal lives separate from baseball.
If this trade works out, it can be the missing piece for the Yankees after just missing out on a World Series ring last season.
