Alek Manoah showcased significant improvement in Triple-A tonight despite a rocky start in the 1st inning. He displayed better control to complement his velocity, and his delivery appeared more stable. These developments are extremely promising.

After a tough start that looked to be another wash for a struggling Manoah who is fighting his way back to the Majors, was able to turn around that first inning quickly.
Manoah swiftly settled into form and kept the opposition at bay, holding them scoreless for the remainder of his outing. He lasted 5.2 innings, tallying five strikeouts in a game that ended with a no decision. Notably, he didn't issue any walks and even notched eight consecutive outs during a stretch.
Manoah's pitch count reached 92, with 61 of those pitches finding the strike zone. Despite conceding six hits, including a home run, his performance was solid overall. One thing to note is his slider looked great, something he has been fighting to solve.
One fan even stated that his slider looked way better than it did all last year.
"Threw the slider a lot and got it over for strikes too. No walks. The slider is his bread and butter. He didn't have a feel for it last year. He hung one in the first inning, but he was really good the rest of the way it would seem. Those sliders in the video were nasty.

Even though Manoah has been a frustrating payer to watch at times, we as Fans still hope he can find his confidence and ability again. When he is on his game, he can go up against anyone in the big leagues.
