If the Blue Jays end up moving on from Bo Bichette and replacing him with Ernie Clement at shortstop, this would free up space for Vladimir Guerrero to go back to third base and leave an opening for the Blue Jays to acquire a first baseman.
The Blue Jays could be interested in Orioles Ryan Mountcastle or Guardians Josh Naylor
According to Bleacher Report, the Baltimore Orioles might be looking at moving on from first baseman Ryan Mountcastle this off-season and he could be a great fit in Toronto as they are looking to bring in a big time hitter which he has been especially in Toronto over the years.
The Orioles had all the trappings of a trade-deadline buyer in July, so it was a surprise when they were reported to be willing to listen on Cedric Mullins and Ryan Mountcastle. - Rymer
Another option that could work at first base for the Blue Jays is Guardians Josh Naylor who Cleveland is listening to offers on especially if the interested team would be willing to trade a starting pitcher in exchange for him.
Cleveland figures to be especially tempted if a team is willing to part with a starting pitcher to land Naylor. And with Kyle Manzardo ready to take over at first base, it's not as if he's irreplaceable. -Rymer
While a lot would have to get don for the Blue Jays to go after a first baseman, it is a very likely possibility especially with all the rumors surrounding Bo Bichette being traded this off-season.
