With the Toronto Blue Jays losing three key arms in the bullpen to injury, it is adding a lot more pressure to an already pressure filled role for the starters.
With an offense that is failing to add run support and a bullpen that's ranks last in almost every pitching category, the starting pitcher must feel a burden to be perfect and go deep in to games.
The #BlueJays are now without their three best relievers entering the season.
My story on a bullpen that's been stretched thin, which could ask even more of these starters:
The Bullpen has not been good all season long, what makes matter worse is that the 3 arms the Jays are missing are some of their best. They are now with out Jordan Romano, Yimi Garca to injury and Erik SwansonErik Swanson, who is down in Triple-A trying to find his game.
ERA: 4.69 (27th) K/9: 7.69 (27th)
Worth noting here is that the top six teams in bullpen ERA (Guardians, Dodgers, Orioles, Brewers, Yankees, Braves) all hold postseason spots as of today.
