The Toronto Blue Jays are at a serious crossroads this off-season as they missed out on the chance to improve their roster in free agency and will now have to look at the possibility of a rebuild.

The Blue Jays were one of the worst teams in baseball last season after finishing dead last in the AL East and far out of a playoff spot but Ross Atkins stated he thinks the team can avoid a rebuild by adding great players in free agency which they have not done.

The Blue Jays might have no choice but to begin a rebuild

The Blue Jays hoped to turn things around this off-season and add some players that could turn their organization around but after failing to do so on numerous occasions, it looks like they might be forced to start a rebuild.
The lack of extension news raises questions about whether the team expects to be a consistent contender in future seasons or if a retooling or rebuilding process might be on the horizon.

GM Ross Atkins believed that last year's disaster has hurt them in attracting free agents but almost everyone knew this would happen apart from him which is why he was the only one surprised that no free agents want to sign in Toronto.
"Winning is the most powerful (thing)," Atkins said. "The more that we can do that, the better positioned we will be and remain. And not running from that, that last year was a disappointment for us.

It is clear the Blue Jays do not have many choices when it comes to what to do with the organizations future as they do not seem able to attract solid talent which means they need to start over.
The first thing they will need to do is fire Ross Atkins and start fresh in the 2025 season but that is a decision for Rogers to make.
