The Toronto Blue Jays announced a major update when it comes to outfielder Daulton Varsho's return to the lineup.
Varsho has yet to play since Spring Training when he only played as DH since his shoulder was not ready to start fielding at the time but it looks like he is finally progressing in the right direction.

Varsho played 6 innings in extended Spring Training yesterday in which he played in the outfield and everything seemed to go well although he did not need to make any big throws.
Daulton Varsho (Shoulder) played 6 innings in extended spring training game in OF.. didn't have to make any long throws in the gap, but just normal throws into the infield.. felt really good.. going to hit live BP tomorrow and then wife is having a baby on Wednesday.. (1/2)
The next step in Varsho's process is to have a rehab stint with the Dunedin team before likely moving up to Triple-A then hopefully returning to the Blue Jays lineup.

Varsho's wife is also expecting on giving birth in the coming days which is why he is pushing to get into a few games before this happens as he will likely spend some time away from the team once his child is born.
Daulton Varsho will start playing in formal rehab games with Single-A Dunedin soon, which is significant news.

The Blue Jays outfielders have been playing well so far this season but added Varsho back in the lineup will only make them better.
