The MLB recently made a post regarding the best defensive players in the league in which Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez was named as tied for first.
The Blue Jays acquired Gimenez from the Cleveland Guardians during the off-season which at first fans were not too happy with since the team needed to bring in offense but it is safe to say they are now quite happy with the move.

Prior to the season starting in less than two weeks, the MLB posted on social media asking fans who they thought the best defender in the MLB is in which Blue Jays Andres Gimenez was named.
In the post, the MLB released the votes from the survey which had Gimenez was tied for first with New York Mets Francisco Lindor followed by Bobby Witt Jr in third, Matt Chapman in fourth and Patrick Bailey in fifth.

Clearly bringing in Gimenez was an incredible move for the Blue Jays as their defense has not one of the best defensive players in the entire league.

Gimenez has not only been proving how good he is defensively this Spring but he also seems to be benefiting from hitting coach David Popkins as he has been looking solid at the plate.
Andrés Giménez doubled AND tripled to drive in two runs and raise his #SpringTraining average to .400!
Clearly the Blue Jays seem to have made a great move in bringing him in and if he can continue to produce offensively, they will definitely have won the trade with the Guardians.
