The Toronto Blue Jays have been rumored to be very interested in free agent pitcher Max Fried and a projection of his contract with the Blue Jays has been announced.
Blue Jays projected contract for free agent Max Fried has been announced
There has been multiple rumors surrounding the Blue Jays and Fried as many believe he is their top target apart from Juan Soto this off-season due to their desperate need for a starting pitcher.
A recent report from Bleacher Report stated that it is believed that Fried will end up signing a seven year contract worth $175 million with the Blue Jays but there has been no confirmation on if an offer has been made.

Contract Prediction: Seven years, $175M/Toronto Blue Jays
This contract would pay Fried $25 million per year which is $3 million more per season than the Blue Jays current highest paid pitcher in Kevin Gausman.
Fried is currently 30 years old which would put at 37 at the end of this contract which is not a terrible move and if the Blue Jays are able to squeeze in a few opt out clauses then it would be a low risk move.
MLB reporter Josh Goldberg did not agree with this contract as he replied to the post on social media saying no thanks but it is hard to understand why he would not want a pitcher of Fried's caliber in the Blue Jays rotation.
While some fans might worry that this is a lot of money, Fried can easily become the Blue Jays ace for the next few years and adding a pitcher of his caliber to their rotation will only help.
