MLB Veteran Umpire Joe West defends the backlash and hate Angel Hernandez has been receiving since being forced to retire from the league, saying "He was good at it his job."

Many baseball fans were overjoyed about the retirement announcement of MLB's most hated umpire Angel Hernandez. He been vied as baseball's worst and most inaccurate umpire ever.
With all the backlash and anger towards Hernandez, it did not stop MLB veteran umpire Joe West to come to his defense and say that he was actually very good at what he did. The Ironic thing is that West is one of the most criticized and controversial umpires as well.
Bad calls respect bad calls

Joe West had this to say on radio:
"I think ya'll gave him a raw deal," West said on 670 The Score in Chicago. "I will tell you this. He retired this week, and he put out a statement. And his statement was that he enjoyed what he did for all these years. And whether you want to believe it or not, he was good at it.

"You can say, well, he missed this pitch or he missed that pitch. But you can do that with anybody. When you get on a rant like that, it's easy to follow a guy and say, 'Oh, he missed this pitch."

Whether or not it is a friend is coming to his defense, there is no argument about how bad Angel Hernandez was in accuracy of calls, we wish him a sweet retirement!
