The Toronto Blue Jays former GM Alex Anthopoulos looks to be pretty interested in acquiring Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette this off-season.

Bichette has been surrounded by rumors for the past few seasons and then finally began to quiet down when Ross Atkins stated that they would not be trading him earlier this off-season but has since picked back up since new reports revealed otherwise.

The Braves are interested in trading for Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette

Former Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos has had his eye on Toronto's shortstop Bo Bichette since the beginning of the off-season but as the front-office seems to be listening to offers once again, the Braves are interested all over again.
The Braves need to bring in a new shortstop as they want to upgrade from their current shortstop in Orlando Arcia who struggled even more than Bichette did during the 2024 season.
The Atlanta Braves are eyeing a strategic move to potentially acquire Bo Bichette, the star shortstop of the Toronto Blue Jays, in the upcoming free agency window. With the Braves lacking a premier shortstop in the recent offseason, the prospect of securing Bichette has emerged as a promising opportunity to bolster their roster. Bichette, who signed a lucrative extension with the Blue Jays in 2023, could offer the Braves a significant upgrade from their current shortstop, Orlando Arcia. -Theo

If the Braves are serious about trading for Bichette, he will not come cheap and they will need to package some solid prospects in the deal as it seems clear the Blue Jays will not just trade him simply to make the move.
The Blue Jays would need to look into acquiring either a shortstop, third baseman or first baseman if they do move on from Bichette as they would be down an infielder but they have options since with Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Ernie Clement, they can move them around as needed.
It will be interesting to see what Ross Atkins ends up doing with Bichette this off-season but if he does decide to keep him, hopefully there is an extension involved.
