The Toronto Blue Jays have quite a few great prospects despite the league ranking them 24th when it comes to best farm systems.
The Blue Jays triple-A affiliates, the Buffalo Bisons, have produced some incredible players for Toronto just this season alone with the likes of Will Wagner who came from Houston via trade, Addison Barger and Spencer Horwitz.
The latest prospect to show he might be ready for the big league is third baseman Damiano Palmegiani who has been on fire last week in Triple-A as he won player of the week in the entire league.
In 6 games, Palmegiani had 5 runs, 4 hits, 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs which makes it clear as to why he is the player of the week.
Our last Player of the Week for 2024 belongs to Damiano!
As the Blue Jays look to move Vladimir Guerrero to third base next season as they will try to bring in a great hitting first baseman in the off-season, it will be hard for Palmegiani to crack the opening day roster.
Despite it not being easy, Palmegiani still have a chance if he can continue to play this way until the end of the season while putting in solid work during the winter to show up ready for the 2025 season.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD DAMIANO PALMEGIANI IS
For the first time since 2019, the Blue Jays have a new home run king not named Orelvis Martinez in their minor league system: Damiano Palmegiani.
In total, the corner infielder hit 21 home runs, beating out Will Robertson's 19 home runs. Martinez and Arjun Nimmala had 17.
