The Blue Jays were rumored to be the top candidate to host the Tampa Bay Rays at their Spring Training complex in Dunedin but it looks like the Rays have decided to play somewhere else next season.

For the first time in franchise history, the Tampa Bay Rays will play baseball in Tampa
One of the Yankees partner, Hal Steinbrenner told reporters that the decision was easy to help out the Rays since his family has many ties to the state of Florida and they are happy to lend a hand to the Rays.
Yankees managing partner Hal Steinbrenner on permitting the Rays to use their Tampa facility in 2025: We are happy to extend our hand to the Rays and their fans by providing a Major League-quality facility for them to utilize this season.
Both the Yankees organization and my family have deep roots in the Tampa Bay region, and we understand how meaningful it is for Rays players, employees and fans to have their 2025 home games take place within 30 minutes of Tropicana Field. In times like these, rivalry and competition take a back seat to doing what's right for our community - which is continuing to help families and businesses rebound from the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.''
Fans in Dunedin are sad they will not be able to watch MLB baseball for the entire season but glad to see that the MLB is taking care of their own during these difficult times in Florida.
Now the question remains, if the Rays will end up going through with the renovations of Tropicana Field as the final price was revealed to be $55 million to fix the roof which could be ready for 2026.
