News broke late last night that the Los Angeles Dodgers and free agent Blake Snell agreed to terms on a 5 year deal crushing Toronto Blue Jays fans who believe the team had a chance at signing the ace.

The Blue Jays are in the market for a starting pitcher to help out their rotation who struggled with consistency during the 2024 season and many believed that Snell would be the solution.

Late last night Blake Snell decided to post a picture on Instagram of him in a Dodgers uniform which had everyone talking and within minutes the news broke of the signing.

Snell and the Dodgers agreed to a 5 year deal worth $182 million which will pay him an average salary of $36.4 million per season and also includes a $52 million singing bonus.
To that end, the Dodgers made a major move Tuesday night, agreeing to a five-year, $182-million contract with two-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher Blake Snell pending a physical, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly. -Mitchell
