The Toronto Blue Jays seemed to be interested in quite a few free agents this off-season but at the top of there list it seems to be pitcher Max Fried in which his contract projections have been announced.

The Blue Jays starting rotation needs a lot of help this off-season, not as much as their bullpen but it is still a major priority this winter which in why they have be linked to many pitcher free agents such as Max Fried.

The Blue Jays projected contract offer for free agent Max Fried has been announced

Fried is currently one of the best free agents on the market and is coming off an unbelievable season with the Atlanta Braves with a 3.25 ERA and 166 strikeouts in 174.1 innings pitcher.
According to MLB insider Jeff Passan, the 30 year old pitcher is set to sign a deal worth around $140 million but the exact term has yet to be confirmed but with the numbers he is posting, he is clearly worth every penny.
According to
@JeffPassan
the 'perfect transaction' for the #Bluejays would be to sign Max Fried

The 30-year-old is projected for a deal worth roughly $140M

Bringing him to Toronto would allow the Jays to fully transition Yariel Rodriguez to the pen
Adding Fried who be incredible for the Blue Jays rotation as they would have to bonified aces between him and Kevin Gausman if he is able to return to his usual self next year after a tough season in 2024.
However, Toronto will need to clear up some space in their starting rotation which is why they have been rumored to be looking to either move Yariel Rodriguez to the bullpen or trade Chris Bassitt before the season.
This could end up being a massive move for the Blue Jays and even though $140 million is a lot of money, he is certainly worth the big ticket.
