According to MLB insider Jeff Passan, the 30 year old pitcher is set to sign a deal worth around $140 million but the exact term has yet to be confirmed but with the numbers he is posting, he is clearly worth every penny.
According to
@JeffPassan
the 'perfect transaction' for the #Bluejays would be to sign Max Fried
The 30-year-old is projected for a deal worth roughly $140M
Bringing him to Toronto would allow the Jays to fully transition Yariel Rodriguez to the pen
Adding
Fried who be incredible for the Blue Jays rotation as they would have to bonified aces between him and Kevin Gausman if he is able to return to his usual self next year after a tough season in 2024.
This could end up being a massive move for the Blue Jays and even though $140 million is a lot of money, he is certainly worth the big ticket.
