The Toronto Blue Jays have a ton of holes to fill for the 2025 season and most thought brining in a new catcher was part of that but it seems like the team is happy with their current duo.

While Alejandro Kirk had a great season last year especially after the trade deadline as he took on the starting role with Danny Jansen being traded to the Boston Red Sox fans expected the team to bring him in a partner.
According to reports, it looks like the Blue Jays are happy with their current duo of Kirk and Tyler Heineman who they brought in near the end of the season for his third stint in Toronto. General manager Ross Atkins even went on to say that they do not see brining in a new catcher as a necessity this off-season.
As relayed by The Athletic's Kaitlyn McGrath (subscription required), Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins recently said that the Jays are happy with their catching tandem heading into 2025. Atkins even went as far as to say that adding another catcher is "not something that we are going to put at the top of our list." -Treuden

While Kirk is a solid catcher, especially offensively, the Blue Jays real problem is with Heineman as he could be an issue as a back up catcher since he is not a proven major league catcher and the Blue Jays have been used to running a tandem system over the past few years which they can no longer do.
Hopefully the Blue Jays end up coming across a deal that makes too much sense not to do this off season involving a catcher since Atkins will clearly not be looking for this himself.
