Scherzer has been out since the first weekend of the season with a thumb injury that he has been dealing with since last season and despite the team saying that it was not too bad, it looks like he is nowhere near returning.

The Blue Jays have been hoping to get Scherzer back in the lineup for some time now but it looks like it won't be happening anytime soon according to the latest report.
News broke this afternoon that is still feeling soreness in his throwing hand according to manager John Schneider and will now visit with another doctor this week to hopefully find a solution.

Despite a time table not being discussed, since the Blue Jays do not seem to have found a solution for Scherzer's injury, there is a good chance that he will not be on the mound for some time.
This means the Blue Jays will have to continue to rely on Easton Lucas who has been doing a phenomenal job so far while Scherzer has been out with his thumb injury.
