The Toronto Blue Jays made some majors changes to their coaching staff and they have now announced that their new hitting coach will be David Popkins.
The Blue Jays parted ways with a ton of coaches at the end of this season including their hitting coach Guillermo Martinez, there hitting coach which they believed did not do a good enough job after a tough offense in 2024.

Toronto has made their first hire in terms of replacing all the staff members they have parted ways with in which the first is hitting coach David Popkins who is coming over from the Minnesota Twins after spending 3 years there.
Manager John Schneider had some great things to say about the Blue Jays latest hire stating that he is a great coach and does a great job of connecting with players which seems to help their offensive game.
«David's ability to game plan and connect with players in different ways is a really exciting addition to our coaching staff,» said manager John Schneider in a news release. «He's a true expert in all types of hitting information and will help our offensive strategy for each game. We're looking forward to the instant impact of his relentless work ethic.»
