The Blue Jays and Phillies have been linked to a trade involving third baseman Alec Bohm
Bohm had a solid 2024 season in Philadelphia as he was named an all-star and finished the season with a solid 15 homeruns, 97 RBIs and .280 batting average despite struggling in the second half of the season.
As the Phillies are looking to get back to the World Series and need to make some changes, they have announced that Bohm is on the trading block which could be a great fit for the Blue Jays.
Third baseman Alec Bohm has been the subject of rampant trade speculation, and he's even had his work ethic called into question by unnamed Phillies sources. It seems like a change of scenery is in order, and one trade proposal would send him to an entirely new environment. -Roberts
Brandon Wile from The Score stated that he believes the Blue Jays and Phillies will agree to a trade this winter which will see Bohm headed to Canada.
Brandon Wile of The Score recently predicted that Bohm would be traded to the Toronto Blue Jays this winter, filling an obvious need for the last-place Blue Jays in their own quest to make it back to the playoffs. -Roberts
The Blue Jays could seriously benefit from having Bohm at third base and would be able to move Ernie Clement to second baseman which would end up fixing two problems they have since Bohm could also hit which they are in desperate need of.
"It feels like the relationship between Alec Bohm and the Phillies has reached a point where both parties would benefit from a change. The Blue Jays represent that fresh start when they acquire him from Philadelphia after failing to get involved in the bidding war for Bregman," Wile said.
