The Blue Jays announced last night that they have agreed to a trade with the Phillies involving right handed reliever Ryan Burr.
Burr has been playing in Triple-A so far this season where he has had a solid season so far with a 2.16 ERA and 29 strikeouts in only 16.2 innings.
Blue Jays acquiring triple-A right-hander Ryan Burr from the Phillies, per source. The 30-year-old has a 2.16 ERA in 16.2 innings over 15 games with 29 strikeouts.
The Blue Jays have been struggling with their relievers this season this is a great addition since Burr had been dominant in Triple-A and might be able to deliver at the Major league level.
While this is not the ground breaking trade most fans were hopping for, it is still a smart move for the position they are currently in.
