News just broke that the Toronto Blue Jays former player and now assistant hitting coach Matt Hague has decided to leave the organization as he will be joining the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hague played for the Blue Jays back in 2015 despite spending most of his time in the minors and in 2020 decide to return to the organization as a minor league hitting coach.
Hague spent the last few season slowly moving up through the ranks going from Advanced-A ball in Dunedin to the major leagues in which he was promoted last January as the Blue Jays assistant hitting coach.

TSN insider Scott Mitchell announced this morning that Matt Hague told the Blue Jays that he has accepted a job as the Pittsburgh Pirates new hitting coach.

This is unfortunate news since Hague was reportedly well liked in the clubhouse by the players who will be sad to see him go.
