Jays manager points finger directly at players for recent struggles
The Blue Jays had a tough loss once again to the Tigers yesterday as their offense was humming but pitching struggled, resulting in a 14-11 loss.
Manager John Schneider spoke to the media after the game with some interesting thoughts. Schneider said he does not want to point the finger at his players but then clearly does by saying they are not playing well enough.
John Schneider doesn't want to point fingers, but the Jays bats have NOT been hot in the last two games against the Tigers.
While the players have been incredibly inconsistent this season, especially when it comes to offense, this is an interesting take from the Jays manager. He has no problem calling out his players for their performance but he has yet to take accountability once this season for the Blue Jays struggles.
A manager is supposed to keep his players in check but at the same time he must also be able to see when he makes mistakes as well which Schneider does not seem to do.
