TORONTO STAR The Blue Jays are in no position to give up on George Springer. The seven hole might be his permanent home
After hitting his first homerun in over a month, it seemed that his new spot in the order helped take away some of his batting troubles and confidence.
George Springer: *1st HR off a fastball since August 25, 2023 *1st pulled HR off a fastball since August 9, 2023 (right - spray chart vs fastballs this season)
Hitting in the 7th spot is a new normal for Springer. In his 11 year MLB career, he has never hit that low ever, always being considered a top of the lineup bat. Though, sometimes going down in the order is a good thing, obviously after he hit that massive homerun in the win over the White Sox.
Let's hope they keep him there for the time being to increase some confidence and take some pressure off.
