Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Brett de Geus has had a tough past few months as he is now on his fourth team in 2025.
The Blue Jays traded
de Geus back in January to Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash after DFA'ing him to make room on their 40 man roster and de Geus has been bouncing around ever since.

Former Blue Jays pitcher Brett de Geus is headed to the Phillies
de Geus has had a tough time in 2025 as he was then DFA'd by the Pirates right before Spring Training, the Miami Marlins then claimed him off waivers then decided to DFA him as well on March 30th.
The Phillies announced yesterday morning that they claimed de Geus off waivers from the Marlins and have optioned him down to their Triple-A affiliate team in Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies have claimed RHP Brett de Geus off waivers from the Miami Marlins and optioned him to Lehigh Valley (AAA).

Hopefully de Geus will finally find a way to stick on a team for the rest of the season even if it is only in the minors.
It is a bit surprising that de Geus has bounced around so much since he has appeared in quite a few MLB games over the last two seasons even if it has been across a number of teams.
