Fans have been hoping for ownership to step in a finally fire Ross Atkins for his consistent errors and the disappointing season he has put together this year.

Unfortunately, according to insider Bob Nightengale, the team plans on leaving Ross Atkins in charge for the rest of the season which includes making the moves at the trade deadline before deciding if they want to fire him in the off-season.
"The Toronto Blue Jays, baseball's most underachieving team, will do plenty of selling at the deadline before they do some firing in the offseason."

This is a very strange decision since the man making some important decisions during the trade deadline and MLB draft could be out by the off-season, meaning the new GM will have to do his best with the decisions Atkins made.
