While the 2024 MLB campaign has been a struggle for the Toronto Blue Jays thus far, a glimmer of hope has emerged in the form of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Danny Jansen's scorching hot bats in the month of May.

Batting has been a major area of concern for the Blue Jays this season, but the worm appears to be turning for two of their star hitters. Guerrero Jr., the team's cornerstone slugger, has been on an absolute tear, slashing an incredible .411 average in May. Meanwhile, Jansen has provided a much-needed spark from the catcher position, posting an impressive .350 batting average during the same stretch.
These eye-popping numbers from two of the Blue Jays' offensive lynchpins have provided a much-needed boost to a lineup that has often sputtered and underperformed. If Guerrero and Jansen can maintain their torrid paces at the plate, it could ignite a resurgence for the Blue Jays' offense and propel them back into contention in the highly competitive American League East.
While the road ahead remains daunting, the recent performances of Guerrero and Jansen offer a glimmer of hope for a Blue Jays team that has struggled to find its footing in the early stages of the season. With their star hitters leading the charge, the Blue Jays may yet have a shot at climbing back up the divisional standings and salvaging their campaign.
