The Toronto Blue Jays are still in negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr over a contract extension and the latest update does not look good for Toronto.
The Blue Jays have made Guerrero at least one offer that has been confirmed this off-season which was more than $100 million from what he is looking for as he is said to be looking for around $450 million.

According to MLB insider the Blue Jays have apparently made two offers to Guerrero throughout the off-season that have now been rejected by the all-star first baseman.
The Blue Jays seem to have brought up their offer from $340 million but it looks like they are still very far apart on the finally number for his next contract.

GM Ross Atkins might be slowing coming up on his offer and taking his time in doing it in hopes on getting Guerrero to lower his targeted number but the chances of that working seem slim.
Guerrero knows that if he waits until next off-season he will be able to easily sign for $450- $500 million as he will get multiple offers from massive franchises.
As the negotiation deadline closes in, Atkins need to simply give Guerrero what he is looking for if he wants to keep him in Toronto.
