This week, two right-handed pitchers stood out and excelled in their respective Minor Leagues.
CJ Van Eyk, who plays for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in the Eastern League received the Pitcher of the Week honour after pitching 5 innings without allowing any runs and striking out 8 batters. Despite some ups and downs this season, he has managed to accumulate 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.
Geison Urbaez (RHP) is the other pitcher, he pitches for the High-A Vancouver Canucks in the Northwest League. He also earned Pitcher of the Week honours. He threw 5 shutout innings, didn't concede any hits, and struck out five batters. So far this season, he has maintained an impressive 1.59 ERA across 4 starts.
