According to a recent report, Guerrero received an offer from the Blue Jays worth $340 million which he has decided to reject as he is looking for more money from the team.

This comes as no surprise since most projections have Guerrero signing in the range of $450 million and since the Juan Soto signing his value has gone through the roof as he will surely make a ton if he waits until free agents next season.
Since the Blue Jays decided to wait this long before making Guerrero an offer, it was sure that he would no longer be taking a team friendly deal and they would have to pay him his worth.
If the Blue Jays would have extended him as soon as they were allowed to, it would have happened before the record breaking Soto deal and Guerrero would have likely been happy to take less money to stay in Toronto.
This now puts the Blue Jays in a very interesting spot as they will either need to raise their offer by at least $100 million or they will have to seriously start looking at trade proposals.
Things have definitely taken a turn for the worse in the Guerrero situation which is clearly Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro's fault as Guerrero stated during the year he wants to return.
Fans will have to wait and see how this plays out but this was clearly a very costly mistake by the Blue Jays front office.
