The Blue Jays have been struggling to stay healthy this season and the back luck has continued after Manoah went down last game with an elbow issue.
Since then, the Jays have been making moves as their pitching lineup is getting shorter by the day. One interesting move they might make is bringing up Adam Macko who has been dominating in Double-A ball this year. Just last game, Macko put up an impressive 9 strikeouts in 6 innings pitched.
Macko fanned 9 over six innings versus Somerset, including Spencer Jones and Jasson Dominguez twice each.
Macko has a 3-2 record on the season with a 3.68 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 44 innings pitched so far.
While Bowden Francis seems to be getting healthier and will likely return to the lineup shortly, Macko would still be a solid second option to replace Manoah for the Jays.
