Jose Berrios dominates on the mound once again for the Toronto Blue Jays Vs the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday lowering his ERA even further.
In addition to his masterful performance, Berrios won his 7th consecutive start which ties Doyle Alexander and Tim Filer 3rd all-time in consecutive wins. The only 2 players above him is Legends Roger Clemens (8) and Roy Halladay (11). He still has a chance to tie Clemens but will run out of time to reach Halladay's team record.
In his start Vs the Cardinals that got him to that elite list, he went 7.0 innings pitched striking out 4 batters and only giving up 1 run on 2 hits. In 30 starts this season, he has achieved an ERA of 3.44 and averaging 7 K's per 9 innings pitched.
