This is great news for the Blue Jays as they ended up missing out on Roki Sasaki yesterday who decided to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers instead of in Toronto despite the Blue Jays offering more money.
While many believe that Santander might not be able to put up the same numbers as last year, adding him and his hitting power to the lineup will for sure help the Blue Jays offense.
A switch-hitting outfielder who hit a career-best 44 home runs last season, the 30-year-old would provide a middle-of-the-order bat to support Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in a lineup that needs the boost. -Nicholson-Smith
Hopefully Ross Atkins is able to get a deal done in the coming days with Santander as it would help salvage the awful off-season they have had.
